Dallas NC Jam Camp was great!

We had a great turn-out on a beautiful January day. As you can see, we had a great mix of instruments including Dobro, several mandolins and an excellent fiddle player. Lunch was great too. In a day packed full of playing, we had several breakout groups that gave a chance to focus on one instrument, plus break-out bands which gave each of the groups a chance to polish a song for performance. We talked about and experimented with different methods for kicking off a song and pickup notes before the downbeat. And we played a whole bunch of songs, with everyone having a chance at a break either solo or with their fellow instrument-players.  Many thanks to our intrepid bass player and band organizer Leigh Nelson, and to stalwart guitarist, coach and luthier extraordinaire Dee Rosser.
